Ya sabíamos que el color de 2011 fué el rosa Honeysuckle pero eso ya es cosa del pasado, ya que hay un nuevo color PANTONE ya para 2012, y ese es (redoble de tambor.....)
Curioso!!! Porque hace un par de dias leía yo en en Trendencias como el naranja y el mandarina eran los colores que teniamos que usar para dar color a nuestro armario esta temporada. Como no quiero repetir todo lo que las chicas de Trendencias hay dicho ya estupendamente, os dejo simplemente con algunas fotos de cosas que me inspira a mi el color naranja mezcladas con cositas que podéis encontrar en Asos para honoral al color rey del proximo 2012, y ya de paso, hacer un pequeño homenaje a mis dutchachos (mis muchachos holandeses) que hoy estan tristes porque ayer al Ajax le robaron el segundo puesto de la clasificatoria en champions... (que es esto? futbol en un blog de moda? Si chicas, aqui todo es posible. Agradeced que no os hable de fisica cuántica si se tercia...)

We already knew that the color of this our 2011 was Honeysuckle pink , but that is already old news, because PANTONE has already announced the color-to-be of next 2012!! And that color is not other than...(drumroll)
Funny story! only a couple of days ago I read in the spanish blog Trendencias how orange and tangerine shadows are the colors to use to light up your winter wardrobe. Since the girls in Trendencias already explained everything you need to know so accurately, I will only leave you with some pictures of what orange reminds me of mixed with some of the orange things you can find on asos. com. This is my way of honouring the king color of next year and, at the same hand, pay homage to my dutchachos (mu dutch "muchachos") who are devastated for the way their hometeam Ajax had its place to the european competition stolen last night....(what? soccer on a fashion's blog? Yeah, everything is possible, just be thankful Im not gettin started on quantum mechanics...)

Este post nace de dos cosas: Una es las ganas que tengo de enseñaros el resto de tesoritos que me he traido de China y la otra es Kate moss as David Bowie en la portada de Vogue París.
Los que me conocéis sabéis que una de mis obsesiones el ultimo año y medio ha sido el Galaxy Print...todo desde la colección Crucero de Cristopher Kane de 2011. Ha sido una busqueda (casi) infructuosa hasta el momento de llegar a China, pais de las oportunidades, los pandas, y los clones de todo lo imaginable. El galaxy print, el glitter, las estrellas por todas partes, todo me recuerda al movimiento glam y a la obsesión que tenían en los 70 por el espacio. Recordad que Bowie en sus inicios no era David, sino Ziggy Stardust, que clamaba ser una araña venida desde Marte.
De modo que, con los metálicos, el glitter, las plumas y el pitón, las plataformas antigravedad por todas partes y un mito de la moda como Kate Moss (y Arizona Muse en las paginas interiores) vestida como Ziggy Stardust mientras se rumorea que el mismo Bowie va a venir al primavera Sound este verano siento que el Glam (como love) is all around. Y me encanta.

This post is born from two things : one is how bad I want to show you the rest of my china-brought treasures; the other one is Kate moss as David Bowie at cover of french Vogue.
Those who know me are aware that one of my main obsessions since a year and a half now has been the Galaxy print : all began with Christopher Kane's Resort collection 2011...it has been an (almost) unfructuous quest until I arrived to chine : land of opportunities, pandas and clones of everything you can imagine. Galaxy print, glitter, stars prints everywhere, they all bring me back to the Glam movement and that obsession they had in the 70's for everything related to space. Remember that Bowie used to be not David, but Ziggy (stardust) and clamed to be a spider from Mars.
That's why all the metallic shimmers, glittery stuff, feather and phython embellished garments, gravity-defying wedges and such a fashion icon as Kate Moss (or Arizona Muse in the inner pages) dressed and made up as Ziggy Stardust, while rumors says that David Bowie himself would be performing at the Primavera Sound in Lisbon this summer make me thing that Glam (as love) is all around. And i just couldn't be happier.
acabo de volver de pasar un mes fantástico en China. Ha sido una experiencia que, a pesar de que probablemente tardaría un siglo en describir con detalle, se resume en una sola palabra: INTENSA.
Sin embargo, ya estoy de vuelta a Madrid, con las pilas cargadísimas y desando retomar el blog con más ganas que nunca. Es por eso por lo como veréis voy a empezar a escribir tambien en inglés las entradas.
Esta tarde, aprovechando el ritmo de domingos de turismo y post-fiesta que traigo de China, me he ido a ver la exposicion de Yves Saint Laurent en la fundación Mapfre de Madrid. Acaba a principios de enero y he aprovechado el revuelo de la final de la Copa Davis (enhorabuena al equipo español!!!) para evitarme las colas infinitas.
A Yves Saint Laurent le debemos principalmente la invención del prêt-à-porter, y la adaptación de los uniformes de trabajo y prendas típicamente masculinas (por ejemplo, el esmóquin) a la mujer. El negro fue siempre su color favorito y fetiche a pesar de ser un mago de las combinaciones de los colores más imposibles, y su combinacion con el blanco en la obra de Saint Laurent resultan en una perfecta armonia entre lo masculino y lo femenino, clasicismo y modernidad, la practicidad y la sensualidad, el equilibro y la ostentación.
Voy a aprovechar para hacer un pequeño homenaje a Monsieur Saint Laurent en el aniversario de la creación de su maison, y de paso enseñaros algunos de los tesoros que me he traido de china (entre otros que ya poseía) y otras cositas que podeis encontrar por la red para pedirle a los reyes y aplicaros a la doctrina Laurentiana.

As you might already know, I just got back from spending an amazing month in China. It has been an experience that, althought it would take me ages to put down to words, can be easily summarized in one: INTENSE. However, I am now back to Madrid, feet on the floor, and willing to retake the blog with new energies, that's why I decided to start writing in english also.
This afternoon, following with the post-party sightseeing sundays tradition I started while in Shanghai, I went to visit the Yves Saint Laurent exhibit at the Fundación Mapfre in Madrid. It will end in early january so I took advantage of the David cup finale event -everybody was watching it- and saved myself a huge line, since its free entrance.
To Yves Saint Laurent we owe two things principalle (but not only) : the invention of Prêt-à-porter and the adaptation of working clothes and traditionally male garments (such as the tuxedo) to the female body and wardrobe. The infinite black, his favourite and fetiche color -even when he was a color combination wizard- and its combination with white result in a perfect harmony between male and female, classic and current, practicity and sensuality, balance and ostentation.
This is my attempt to honour Monsieur Saint Laurent on the anniversary of the creation of his Maison, and take the chance to show you some of my chinese (and not) treasures as well as some things you can buy online to make your christmas wishlist a way to reach the SainLaurent look, 2011 style.
